HNB Debit Cards

HNB Debit Cards are an available feature of all HNB Personal Checking Accounts and HNB Business Checking Accounts.

• Withdraw or deposit¹ funds from your account at an HNB ATM
• Withdraw funds at any ATM²
• Check your account balance at any ATM²
• Make in-store, online or in-app purchases wherever VISA® is accepted
• Make secure purchases from your mobile device or wearable by enrolling it in a Mobile Wallet
• Enabled with EMV Chip-Technology for increased security with in-store and ATM transactions

Take Control of Your Debit Card

Decide when, where and who uses your card! Within the Preferences > Manage Cards feature of the HNB Mobile Banking app, you can take full control of how your HNB cards are used. With a few simple taps you can personalize the way you protect your card from fraud and manage spending:

• Turn your card on or off
• Set transaction spending limits based on your preferences, including dollar amount, transaction type and merchant type
• Get instant alerts on certain types of transactions, like when a transaction is declined
• Set a specific region where the card can be used or restrict usage based on your mobile device’s location
• Set parental controls and monitoring

Activate Your Card

You may activate your new HNB Debit Card immediately through HNB Online Banking or by calling or visiting your local HNB Office. You may also activate your HNB Debit Card by visiting any HNB ATM and using your Personal Identification
Number (PIN), which you pre-selected or will receive in the mail. You may change your PIN after activation at select HNB ATMs, by visiting your local HNB Office.
